I recently spent a couple of hours at one of my favorite car shows, the annual Safety Harbor British Car Show.  The British have always been known for their unique auto designs and this show always features the best of the best.

1951 Bentley

Approximately 100 Jaguars, MGs, Bentleys,  Sunbeams, Rolls Royce and other exotic British offerings are featured on Main Street in quaint Safety Harbor.

These are a few of my favorite cars from the show..  All were photographed with my Olympus OMD-EM5 camera, 12-50mm Olympus lens at ISO 200 and f8.0 aperture.  I added the Gaussian blur in Photoshop CC.

Tampa Auto Show

The Tampa Auto Show is in full swing at the Tampa Convention Center through Sunday. There are some beautiful Mercedes-Benz autos being shown including these that I photographed yesterday. There are both versions of the Mercedes Benz SLS AMG including the Gull Wing Coupe and a Roadster. Perhaps something for under your Christmas tree? Here are a few more...

Vintage Car Photography

I thought that I would share a personal project that I am working on.  I recently toured the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Museum in Auburn, Indiana.  There are 120 vintage cars from the 30s and earlier displayed in like new condition. I photographed many of these spectacular automobiles.  Unfortunately, there is a lot of light from the windows and distracting ropes and signage, but not really cluttered backgrounds.  The first photo is the final product. The second image will give you an idea of what I had to work with. I would like your thoughts.  Image adjusted in Lightroom 5.2 and Photoshop CC.  Olympus OMD-EM5.  Incidentally, I recommend a visit to the ACD Museum.  The staff is very friendly toward photographers and the guides are extremely knowledgeable.  And, of course the subject matter is breathtaking!

Auburn Cord Dusenberg Museum

Recently, while visiting Indiana Lynn and I took a trip to Auburn to vist The Auburn Cord Dusenberg Museum.  This museum is in the original headquarters of the auto manufacturer.  There are 3 floors.  Two floors feature all of these elegant autos and the 2nd floor is confined to auto art.  We spent only a couple of hours at the Museum, but we could have easily spent the day here.  The Museum is a National Historic Landmark.  120 cars are shown.  Most of the autos are from the early 1930s.  If you are traveling in northeastern Indiana and you are a car aficionado this is is a museum not to be missed.  I can't wait to return.
